Privacy Policy

Ova Animations built the Videos Collection app to help you save, organize and play video and audio links from YouTube and Google Drive, and to watch them together with others. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. The developer does not sell your personal information and the app does not show ads.

Your library works without an account. The links you save, their titles, thumbnails, channel names, the folders and sections you create, and your app preferences (such as theme and accent colour) are stored locally on your device.

To make playback smoother, the app may keep a temporary cache of media you play. This cache stays on your device and is cleared by Android or when you clear the app's storage.

Signing in with Google is optional. If you choose to sign in, the following is stored in Google Firebase so your library can sync across your devices and power online features:

• Your account identifier, email address, display name and profile photo URL from your Google account
• Your saved videos and audio (link, title, thumbnail, channel name, the date added and last played)
• Your folders and sections, including their names and categories
• Whether you have an active Premium subscription, so premium features can be enabled

Your library is private to your account and can only be read by you.

Premium users can choose to make a folder public. A public folder's name, category and rating can be seen by other users of the app. Folders are private unless you turn this option on, and you can make a folder private again at any time.

When you host or join a Watch Together room, the room stores the video being played, the current playback position, and the account identifier and display name of each participant so the host can see who is asking to join. The host can admit or block guests. This information is visible to the other people in the same room and is used only to keep playback in sync.

To offer a quick "add this link" prompt, the app checks whether your clipboard holds text. It only reads the clipboard's contents after you tap to add the link. You can also share a link to the app from other apps. Links received this way are used only to add the item to your library.

Premium subscriptions are processed by Google Play. The developer does not receive or store your payment details. Google Play shares only the status of your purchase with the app, which is used to unlock premium features.

• Internet — to load videos, fetch titles and thumbnails, and sync your library
• Notifications — to show playback controls while audio plays in the background
• Foreground service and wake lock — to keep audio playing when the screen is off

The app relies on the following services, which may collect information under their own privacy policies:

Data stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage. Data synced to your account is kept until you delete it. Deleting a video or folder in the app also deletes it from your account.

To delete your account and all data associated with it, email ova.anim@gmail.com from the email address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my Videos Collection account". Your account and synced data will be deleted within 30 days. Subscriptions are managed in Google Play and must be cancelled there. Data is sent over encrypted connections, and access to your synced library is restricted to your account. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Updates will be posted on this page.
